Same Innovation, Proudly American-Made
Big News, Compost Crew: Hungry Bin is Homegrown!
After years of helping households, schools, and businesses around the globe reduce food waste and grow greener gardens, we’re thrilled to announce that Hungry Bin is now proudly manufactured right here in the USA.
So, what does that mean for you? Faster shipping. Even better quality control. A smaller carbon footprint. And the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from supporting local jobs and sustainable production.
Hungry Bin was born in a backyard in New Zealand, built by a gardener who wanted a better, cleaner, easier way to compost with worms. The design caught on, and before long, people all over the world were turning their scraps into “black gold” with the help of the Hungry Bin.
Now, that same tried-and-true design is being produced in Wisconsin, by Wisconic, a trusted American manufacturer under the parent company MRCA. These folks know their stuff—they’ve been perfecting high-quality plastic molding for decades, and they’ve brought that precision and durability straight into every Hungry Bin we make.
We’ve always believed what goes into your bin matters just as much as what comes out. That’s why our new U.S.-made bins are:
-
Built with recycled materials for the plastic components.
-
Made with 100% USA-sourced metal hardware for strength and sustainability.
This approach keeps our supply chain transparent, ethical, and environmentally responsible which is just the way we like it.
Bringing production stateside also means we can keep an even closer eye on quality. Every bin is carefully inspected, assembled, and tested before it ships out. When it arrives at your doorstep, you know it’s ready to get to work without fuss, waiting, or surprises.
Hungry Bin has always been about making composting easy, clean, and effective. Now, it’s also about making it local. We’re excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to see more Hungry Bins popping up in gardens, patios, cafés, schools, and businesses all across America.
Because when it comes to reducing waste and building healthier soil, every bin, every worm, and every composter counts.
Hungry Bin. Made in America. Built to last. Ready to compost.
